FuelCell is on a distinguished road
Default Sat 11/21 - Lowman Loop

I still haven't been, so I have no idea what the roads are like this time of year. I don't even know what the weather is supposed to do, but for once I have a Saturday off work so if the weather is good and the roads are known to be okay, I'd like to go.

I'm not at all interested in doing Mach 9 and wheelies in heavy traffic in jeans on Highway 55. I'd like to save it for the corners.

The high in Lowman is forecast to be 32, so it will be even colder in the hills. You should probably expect snow.

Yeah the weather forecast is showing snow on both Saturday and Sunday for Lowman. I wouldn't recommend that ride until spring time now unless you are on a sled or have some studded tires on your bike.

I guess I didn't think about the elevation change. I still haven't been on that ride. Anywhere down in the valley for me to go?

There are still plenty of places to ride in the valley. Although the weather forecast shows it to be wet, so as long as you don't mind riding in the rain there are still some good rides.

I'll commute in the rain, but not get out and try to drag knee.

Could you show me the roads on Google Maps or something? I'm having a heckuva time finding anything.

Maybe I'm a sissy, but I think it's hard to recommend a place to drag knee even in the summer. With the current weather and road conditions...well, I just don't picture a lot of knee-dragging.

Some curvy roads that might be snow-free are: lower portions of Bogus, Cartwright, road along Owyhee river up to the dam, road up to Spring Shores Marina, and ten mile creek road.
